After studying Business Administration in Münster, Arndt started his career in Marketing / Corporate Strategy at computer manufacturer Siemens-Nixdorf. He then joined the consultancy company Perot Systems as Business Development Director. In 1997 he founded ImmobilienScout24, which he led as CEO until 2008. In 2008, together with Marianne Voigt and Christophe Spéroni, Arndt founded bettermarks, an adaptive learning system for K-12 maths.
